Spotlight on our clients
Folkerton Mill Weddings Ltd.
Folkerton Mill is an exclusive use, wedding venue situated in the UK. A stunning venue and a real hidden gem set in the South Lanarkshire countryside. Folkerton Mill boasts a 19th Century watermill, a wooden hay barn, gardens and a courtyard all available for use during your celebrations.
The business was established in 2019 at which time Folkerton Mill was relatively unknown outwith the immediate local area. This was a brand new business, starting from scratch. Folkerton Mill needed to makes itself known to potential clients, grow a community and generate enquiries, viewings and sales.
The business needed a website to showcase the brand, provide credibility to the business, generate leads through SEO, serve potential clients and manage the customer experience. The website also needed to be built with scope for growth and the incorporation of other revenue streams in the future. Furthermore, With over 60% of Folkerton Mill’s website traffic coming through on mobile and tablet devices, it was essential the user experience was as exciting and engaging as it is on desktop. The website needed to have a mobile-friendly design.
The business wanted the branding to reflect a sought after, exclusive use location for weddings. Offering high quality and professionally run bespoke events, within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Authentically rustic, rural and romantic. A typical client profile for this venue is a 25-45 year old professional. Has an appreciation for nature and scenery, demands quality and exclusivity and has an affinity for culture and heritage. They will want intimate to mid-sized events and will be willing to invest in the right experience and venue. They are tech-savy and active on social media and they will want varying levels of involvement in the wedding planning process.
With a minimal marketing budget, the business wanted to maximise the potential of free social media and website SEO to drive traffic to the website and generate revenue.
Our strategy involved creating the brand logo and creating a streamlined, functional website with scope for growth. The website is geared towards showcasing the venue and the Folkerton Mill brand, with the objectives of building an engaged community, generating enquiries and conversions. We created a multi-platform social strategy to support these objectives and optimised the website SEO. This is based on seasonal changes within the business, producing content that is aspirational, engaging and informative. During the late autumn, winter and early spring, when the venue is closed, the focus is firmly on engagement, community growth and sales conversions. Utilising social platforms and SEO optimisation to drive traffic to the website and then on to enquiries, visits and sales. During the wedding season (spring-mid autumn) the focus is on engagement and brand awareness, showcasing the venue and the events by utilising social platforms to host new, exciting, and bang-up-to-date content, telling stories through pictures, connecting with, and building, the social community.
Major results were achieved through highly relevant content designed to target the typical client profile, the careful selection of messages and images used in posts and page engagement, along with intelligent judgements made on the timing of posts.
